If you want, you can message me off anon through the tumblr chat and I can help you figure out how to retexture. I don’t have my edited textures/control up for download, sorry. I use pooklets texture but edited it myself and blended two different controls together to get my EA-style control and use Littlecats control. Sometimes CC has way higher filesizes then it needs to.Īs for the textures/controls: some creators have theirs uploaded. You need CompressorizerRedux to make the filesize a bit smaller and save harddrive space. But I rather check in game, it is way faster and easier for me (You just need to replace the texture with a special one in both cases: Colour each strand in Photoshop with a different colour and choose your haircolour all white) ![]() But sometimes it can be handy, if you like to know which part of the hair texture is where on the hair, so you can find out which parts need root and tips. You can use TSR Workshop to retexture as well, instead of s3pe, but it is really unreliable and crashes a lot. If you plan on sharing your retextures or plan to do multiple control versions that you want to install yourself ( or share), you need s3oc, so you can clone your hair to get a new unique instance number, otherwise the game can only load one version. You need s3pe to open the hair and extract the textures/control. You need some plugin for Photoshop so it can open. I recommend checking there are plenty of good tutorials there. ![]() I started retexturing long before Sims 4 even came out. Uff, I can’t even remember the tutorial I used.
